Other side of the glass…

It’s been a while since I’ve written anything on here; and there is alot to catch up on. Firstly it is coming up to the second year of living the grandiose life in Melbourne.

Australia’s answer to New york. A kebab delievered at 3am, sure why not? Feeling thirsty, how about heading down to a 24 hour night club? Or for a bit retail therapy, take a stroll down the longest shopping strip in the southern hemisphere.

Yup, Melbourne has it all. And I am in the thick of it. I am severely addicted to the fashion, and my shoe collection has expanded exponentially. My highlight so far, was covering Melbourne Spring Fashion Week (yes, I am a fashion journalist - who knew models had brains?). Visiting the awesome runways of amazing designers, I got back stage and knew more than half the models, stylists, deisgners and photographers. Champagne flowing freely, and VIP access to fabulous events is certainly something to blog about. My next highlight is L’Oreal fashion week, which in my eyes can not come soon enough! Hand me my media pass and a glass of bubbly and I’m all set.

Speaking of media pass’, hands up whos going to SoundWave, yep that would be me. Backstage, baby! My aim is to interview Marilyn Mason, and I would die happy. The man is a genius.

A scary, evil looking genius.

And I love it.

I’m trying to convince my friend from Canberra to come along (he is an amazing writer and knows every obscure band under the sun!). If your reading this ‘HEY!’ and come head-bang in the mosh pit with me… Stage diving permitted *disclaimer* this last statement may be a lie.

Not only has my writing taken off, I’v also started a new hobby on the dark side of the glass. Yes folks, I have become a photographer. Apparently you don’t need a million years of training, but instead, passion, and an eye for awesomeness. I know how to speak to my models and how to get them to move the way I want. I’m focusing on fashion and editorial, and have been blessed to work with some big names in the industry. I’m feeling pretty luck to start the new year in such a brilliant fashion, and can feel good vibes for the year ahead.

Now that were all caught up, I’m going to do what I do best. Grab a cocktail, latest issue of Vogue and let the good times roll.
